Family Resource Centers Fund

Family Resource Centers Fund The statewide network of 24 Family Resource Centers provide services for over 70,000 people annually and help to support and promote successful, self-sufficient citizens in communities throughout Colorado. Family Resource Centers help Colorado families succeed. Our mission is to offer innovative programs and services that meet the needs of each community they serve. These centers are places in the community to which isolated and vulnerable families turn for help. The Family Resource Centers fill gaps in community support and not to duplicate services already provided by the public or private sector. The centers aim to promote safe, stable and loving families. In addition, Denver Nuggets basketball star Carmelo Anthony (www.melo4families.org) has worked with our organization over the last three years to raise awareness and public support for Family Resource Centers as a celebrity spokesperson.

  • “Six month ago severe health problems kept me at home and soon my family and I were facing an eviction. I needed to get back to work and didn’t know how I was going to do it. My greatest barrier to a full-time job was affordable day care for my two year-old. In Cortez, there are limited well-paying jobs. We were in trouble. I went to Family Resource Centers to see if we could receive emergency assistance. While there, the family advocates on staff told me there was a job opening with childcare. Today, I have a job I love and am able to do it well knowing my child is in a safe, loving, and rich environment.” - Melissa M.
